Darpan is a non-profit organization based in Hazaribagh, (Jharkhand). Registered under the Societies Registration Act, we are dedicated to social upliftment through health & family welfare, Children, Nutrition, Agriculture, Civic Issues, Dalit Upliftment, Panchayati Raj, Environment & Forest.

Our Initiatives

Agriculture

Agriculture Services Our NGO supports farmers by promoting sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices. We provide training on improved farming techniques, access to quality seeds and inputs, soil and water conservation guidance, and support for organic and eco-friendly methods. Through field demonstrations, farmer groups, and market linkages, we aim to increase productivity, improve livelihoods, and ensure long-term food security for rural communities.

Children

Children Services Our NGO works to protect, nurture, and empower children from vulnerable communities. We support access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and safe learning environments. Through child protection programs, awareness activities, and life-skills development, we help children grow with confidence, dignity, and equal opportunities for a better future.

Civic Issues

Civic Issues Our NGO addresses key civic issues by promoting good governance, social justice, and active citizen participation. We work to raise awareness about rights and responsibilities, support community-led initiatives, and advocate for transparency and accountability in public services. Through education, dialogue, and grassroots action, we strive to build informed, inclusive, and empowered communities.

Dalit Upliftment

Dalit Upliftment Our NGO is committed to the social, educational, and economic empowerment of Dalit communities. We work to eliminate discrimination by promoting equal rights, access to education, skill development, and livelihood opportunities. Through awareness programs, legal support, and community mobilization, we strive to ensure dignity, inclusion, and sustainable development for all.

Environment & Forests

Environment & Forest Our NGO works to protect and restore the environment and forest ecosystems for a sustainable future. We promote tree plantation, forest conservation, biodiversity protection, and climate awareness at the community level. Through environmental education, sustainable resource management, and community participation, we strive to preserve nature while supporting livelihoods and ecological balance.

Health & Family Welfare

Health & Family Welfare Our NGO is dedicated to improving community health and family well-being, especially among underserved populations. We provide access to basic healthcare services, maternal and child health support, nutrition awareness, sanitation initiatives, and health education. Through preventive care, awareness programs, and community outreach, we aim to build healthier families and stronger communities.

HIV / AIDS

HIV/AIDS Our NGO works to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and support those affected by it with dignity and care. We focus on awareness, education, counseling, testing support, and stigma reduction within communities. Through advocacy, healthcare linkages, and psychosocial support, we aim to promote prevention, early intervention, and an improved quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Legal Awareness & Aid

Legal Awareness & Aid Our NGO promotes legal awareness and access to justice for marginalized and vulnerable communities. We conduct legal literacy programs to educate people about their rights, laws, and available remedies. Through counseling, legal aid support, and referrals, we help individuals seek justice, protect their rights, and build a more fair and inclusive society.

Micro Finance (SHGs)

Microfinance (SHGs) Our NGO supports economic empowerment through microfinance initiatives and Self-Help Groups (SHGs). We encourage savings, provide access to small loans, and offer financial literacy and skill development training. By strengthening SHGs, we help individuals—especially women—build sustainable livelihoods, financial independence, and collective self-reliance.

Nutrition

Help on Nutrition Our NGO works to improve nutrition and food security among vulnerable communities, especially women and children. We promote awareness on balanced diets, maternal and child nutrition, and healthy eating practices. Through nutrition education, supplementary food support, and community-based programs, we aim to reduce malnutrition and support healthy growth and development.

Panchayati Raj

Panchayati Raj Our NGO promotes awareness and participation in the Panchayati Raj system to strengthen local self-governance. We educate communities about their rights and responsibilities, support capacity-building of elected representatives, and encourage inclusive decision-making. Through these efforts, we aim to empower citizens, enhance transparency, and foster development at the grassroots level.
